The Vaya Group is partnering with Beam Inc. for Talent Development

June 09, 2013

CHICAGO – June 11, 2013The Vaya Group, a full-service talent management consultancy, announced today that Beam Inc.—one of the world’s largest premium spirits companies—has selected The Vaya Group to help develop and grow Beam’s high-potential leaders for senior roles in the organization. The partnership, which includes comprehensive talent assessment and executive development, will provide Beam with a clear strategy for further developing key talent while fostering the company’s culture and strengthening employee engagement.

“As we continue to build on our rich 200-year heritage and further accelerate our business performance, developing the leadership skills and capabilities of our key leaders is a critical part of our talent strategy,” said Sue Gannon, Vice President Talent, Culture and Organizational Development for Beam. “By investing in the continued growth and development of our most talented individuals, we can help drive more value, growth and results for our business, brands and people.”

As part of the partnership, The Vaya Group will help enhance Beam’s high-potential talent program by clearly defining the competencies, behaviors and potential needed to achieve excellence in each executive leadership position. In addition, The Vaya Group will assess Beam’s key executives and leaders using performance metrics closely tied to Beam’s core competencies and business strategy. The process includes feedback and customized development plans to help ensure that Beam’s most critical talent is prepared for executive roles now and into the future.

“Maintaining a strong leadership pipeline is the key to driving sustainable growth in today’s global organizations,” Gannon added. “By more clearly articulating what ‘great’ looks like for leaders across Beam, we can take our performance to the next level.”

“We’re thrilled to partner with Beam and help them develop a more robust talent pool for executive leadership roles,” said Paul Eccher, co-founder and principal of The Vaya Group. “Along with the reinvention of several other talent management strategies in recent years, their decision to supercharge their succession planning for senior executives well positions Beam for future success.”
